My Experience at Eastern Point Yacht Club

Eastern Point Yacht Club has one of those settings that immediately feels special. You’re right on the water in Gloucester, with beautiful views of the harbor and Atlantic, and the lawn and grounds make an incredible backdrop for a ceremony and photos.

What stands out to me is how much the water becomes part of the whole wedding. Cocktail hour can take place outside, dinner can move inside, and depending on how the wedding is set up, dancing can happen right out near the porch overlooking the water. It gives the day a really relaxed, classic Gloucester feel.

It’s also a little more intimate than some of the larger venues I work at, so the guest count and setup matter. Eastern Point currently accommodates smaller receptions inside and larger weddings under a tent, which can create two very different experiences.

From my perspective as the DJ and MC, it’s the kind of venue where keeping everything flowing from one space to the next matters. When that’s done well, the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all feel like one connected celebration instead of separate parts of the day.

If you want a true Gloucester waterfront wedding, Eastern Point Yacht Club is a really unique setting.
