My Experience at Floriana
I’ve worked a number of weddings at Floriana, and what stands out to me is the classic mansion feel. The white exterior and grounds give it that old New England look — almost like stepping into another time — without the venue ever feeling old or stuffy.
There’s also a lot of flexibility in how a wedding can feel here. Ceremonies can take place outside in the garden area, while the tent gives the reception a completely different feel. That lets couples shape the day around the season, the size of the wedding and the atmosphere they want.
For receptions under the tent, entertainment is set up immediately adjacent to the dance floor, which keeps us close to the guests and the action. From a DJ and MC standpoint, I like that because I can easily reach the guests, keep the important moments connected and build energy naturally once dancing starts.
Floriana has that classic North Shore mansion look, but once the reception gets going, it can turn into a really fun party.

From a DJ and MC perspective, that matters. Moving guests from one part of a property to another, keeping the important moments connected and making sure the energy builds naturally through the day is part of making the whole wedding feel seamless.
