My Experience at the Crane Estate
The Crane Estate really does feel like a fairy-tale wedding setting. You’re surrounded by the mansion, the long lawns, the gardens and the ocean views, and the whole property feels like it belongs to another era.
The ceremony is often held out on the Grand Allée, which is probably one of the most dramatic ceremony settings on the North Shore. From there, guests can move back toward the mansion and terrace for cocktail hour before dinner and the reception.
What I like about Crane is how much the day can move through the property without ever feeling disconnected. You can have one part of the wedding outside with those huge views, then bring everyone back toward the house and into the reception space as the night goes on.
From a DJ and MC standpoint, it’s also one of those venues where timing matters because the property is so spread out and the day moves through a few different spaces. When everything is flowing well, it feels really natural.
The scale of the property, the architecture and the grounds make it feel grand without feeling manufactured. If you want a wedding that feels timeless, dramatic and very New England, this is one of those places.
