My Experience at Danversport
Danversport is one of those venues where I’ve worked enough events to know how differently the property can feel depending on which room you’re in.
The Harborview Ballroom is obviously the largest space, and the first thing that stands out is the glass and water behind the room. The ceremony can happen outside on the lawn or gazebo area, and from there guests can move pretty naturally into cocktail hour and then the ballroom. Danversport also has the Terrace Ballroom and Lighthouse Point, so there are a few different ways a wedding can be set up depending on the size of the guest list.
From a DJ and MC standpoint, I like that the dance floor is right in the middle of the action in the Harborview room. Even with a larger wedding, it doesn’t feel like the dancing is happening off in some separate space.
I’ve done weddings and other large events there, and it’s a venue that handles a crowd really well. The combination of the waterfront, the indoor-outdoor options and the different room sizes gives couples a lot of flexibility without having to move everyone to a completely different part of the property.
