My Experience at Glen Magna Farms
Glen Magna Farms has a completely different feel from a ballroom venue. The mansion and gardens give it that historic estate look, but most of the wedding day really happens outside around the property.
The ceremony is usually held in the gardens, followed by cocktail hour around the mansion and lawn before everyone moves into the sailcloth tent for dinner and dancing. That flow works really well because guests get to experience the property instead of spending the whole day in one room. The venue’s current setup includes the gardens, mansion access and a seasonal sailcloth tent with a dance floor for receptions.(opens in new tab)
From a DJ standpoint, once everyone gets into the tent, it feels much more like one connected party. You still have the gardens and mansion right outside, but the dance floor becomes the center of things pretty quickly.
It’s a really nice choice if you want something that feels classic North Shore and historic, but still relaxed and outdoors.
